Wherever you're travelling from, here's everything you need to get to Ravenport Resort with as little stress as possible.
If you're flying in, most routes into Dublin from the UK are short. Return fares typically range from around £30 on budget airlines like Ryanair up to £150 or more on Aer Lingus or British Airways. Domestic flights within Ireland to Dublin are also an option if that's easier than the drive.
Note: our wedding weekend is also a bank holiday weekend in Ireland, so we'd recommend booking your flight as soon as you know you can attend, as they're likely to fill up.
Regular direct flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, and Stansted to Dublin, most under 1hr 30.
Dublin Airport is the main option, around 2 hours' drive to Wexford. Waterford Airport is closer but has limited routes, worth checking if it happens to suit your journey.
If you'd rather bring a car or don't fancy flying, ferries run from Holyhead, Liverpool, Pembroke, and Fishguard to Dublin, Belfast, and Rosslare. Most crossings are within 2 to 4 hours depending on the route. Our recommendation is to come in to Rosslare, it's right here in Wexford, and Ravenport Resort can be reached from Rosslare harbour in under 40 minutes, no onward motorway trek needed. Foot passenger fares typically run £30 to £90 one way, a car usually adds £100 to £300 depending on route and season, book early for the best price.
If you'd rather not hire a car, there are frequent direct buses from Dublin Airport straight to Wexford, no need to go into Dublin city first. Handy whether you're flying in or already coming from elsewhere in Ireland.
Dublin Airport to Wexford via Gorey, up to 15 services a day, journey takes around 2 hours 30 minutes. Gorey is also useful if you're heading to Sunday's afterparty.
Dublin Airport to Wexford, almost hourly, around 19 services a day, including later evening departures than Bus Éireann.
Fares are typically around €10 to €20 one way. From Wexford town, it's a short taxi ride on to Ravenport Resort in Curracloe.
Car hire is the easiest option once you land, the drive from Dublin takes you straight down the M11/N11. Note there's also a 40 minute drive between Kilanerin Church and Ravenport Resort on the wedding day itself. Taxis and pre-booked transfers are also available.
Requirements can vary by airline or ferry operator, always check with whoever you're travelling with before you go. Many operators are now requiring a valid passport, even on routes where it wasn't previously needed, so don't rely on other forms of photo ID alone.
Ireland uses the Euro (€), not Sterling. Cards are widely accepted; a little cash is handy for small towns and taxis.
Ireland is on the same time zone as the UK year-round, so no clock adjustment needed.
We recommend booking early, as May is a popular time on this stretch of coast. Ravenport Resort itself is the easiest option, right where the reception is, with a few good alternatives nearby if you'd rather stay in Wexford town. Prices below are rough nightly guides for a double room, they'll shift with dates and demand, so check each hotel's own site for exact rates.
Please note: the Ravenport Resort website is likely to show as fully booked for our dates. You'll need to call the venue directly and book using our reference: #018320. Staying where the party is means no taxis needed at the end of the night. A coastal hotel right in Curracloe, a short stroll from the beach, with a spa and pool if you want to make a weekend of it.
